People make a lot of predictions about the future on Twitter, but should we take them seriously?
ItsaPrediction is a service that helps you track predictions posted to Twitter so you can form more accurate opinions about the future.
Here’s how it works.
1. Reply to a Tweet and mention @itsaprediction. The @itsaprediction bot will capture the tweet, generate a profile page for it at itsaprediction.com and reply to you with a link.
2. Visit the profile page and add a date to get a reminder so you can easily followup on this prediction in the future.
3. You and anyone else on itsaprediction.com can say if they agree or disagree with the prediction, and it they believe it turned out to be accurate or not.
4. Next: we’ll generate accuracy scores for Tweeters with the hope that, over time, those scores can help you form more accurate opinions.
This app is a work in progress and a first step on a long path to help people make sense of their world.
